My tummy is pleading hard for food, but due to my lazyness it’s probably going to lose that argument.

 I’m sitting downstairs in the store (procrastinating on this list of customer’s that I have to call for their emails – oooohhhh jjooyyy) and all of a sudden “Paper planes” by MIA comes on. 

Huh?

Isn’ this supposed to be an office supply store? Why are we bussin off songs with gun shots in them….I kinda love it – oh listen! Fall out boy just came on! “Dance Dance” lol, like what the hell dred?

It’s time we redefined professionalism (hmm, I wonder how much of this song my employer can stand before she changes it….)

Currently Reading: The Outlaw Demon Wails By Kim Harrison (lol, in explanation, I actually put this book down – lost it is more along the truth – and I picked up another book that I finished yesterday – Kitty and the Midnight Hour – Thanks Shin. It was kinda good, some times I didn’t care for the way it read, but yea. I’ll start the second one after I finish Outlaw Demon – which I conveniently found last night.)

Current Goal – Get these blasted window cling designs to print! Grr, I’ve been trying to get it to print from last week.

Now there’s a really annoying dance song on…sounds like a CD skipping – and still my employer hasn’t changed it!

The first design up came up with sat on my employers desk for about a week as he hummed and ahhed about it. Then he sent it back saying it doesn’t catch his eye and it looks overly organized….something that he would do.

 So, after much thinking, countless numbers of times rearranging pictures, switching out backgrounds, adding this, taking away that…I had 3 extra designs to show him. THREE! 

Just now, I lost all of it.

Guess my new passion!…..

NOPE! (I don’t care what you said-lol) It’s graphic design.

Below you will find my second selfish creation. I call it “selfish” because I’m currently working as a graphic artist in training, so I’m only supposed to be doing signs for the store (my employer). Now, here it is, I am supposed to be designing a 8x4ft window cling BUT instead I’ve been designing a book cover for myself – thus being SELFISH – See! It links.

So yea, it’s titled: “Orchids Over My Grass” Lol, I love it!

Current Goal – Re-do all 7 BOSS aisle signs. (Well, to be honest I only need to switch out the pictures. But see, it’s still not that simple because each individual sign has to have it’s own unique pictures. About five pictures per sign. So yea, I’ve got about 3 more.)

What is the point? I feel so betrayed. Do you have an idea how much effort I have to put into locating a music video on youtube? I feel proud and accomplished when I actually do find something – I shouldn’t have to feel proud and accomplished about finding a [edit] music video on youtube!

Oh, and your new layout sucks too – I don’t care what other people have in their playlist, I just want the one OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO that I typed in!

Now, I have a love/hate relathionship with this video.

It’s one of those video’s that I originally  fast forwarded through as soon as it came on or changed the channel all together. But then one day I must not have been as near to the remote as I would have liked, and this song came on. The beat caught my attention and I said: “Hold on. let me give this video a chance.” So I sat down, and played the video from the beginning.

It was incredibly boring, and that’s why i hate it. The only thing that drew my attention back from time to time was the added cartoon like effects. And that’s what I love, especially in the end, when Kid Cudi is in the bar. As he walks past the pool table the cartoon of the sun on a human body (thing) hopes off and imitates Kid’s hand movements, and then the moon joins in – and look at their facial expression! Love it, so smooth and cute! I’d watch this whole boring video over and over again just for that one moment.

I won’t even count the months – too much shame. 
There’s not much point, I guess, in posting up a review of The Killer’s song, but I do finally remember the name of that song with the funny colored guts – it’s L. E. S. Artistes by Santigold! LOVE IT! Currently the most played song on my IPOD and phone ring tone. Link!

(This gives me an idea for my next post – it’s an old and constantly used idea, but still.)

Now, there is another Music Vid I plan to evaluate (as soon as i remember the name, singer, or some lyrics).

Until then, I have a mini update! I’m learning the world of graphics! That’s it. lol, I’m going to go back to CS and this window cling concept that I have to come up with.

Christmas is approaching, one more week of class, 2 outstanding essays, 1 other essay, 1 3hr final…..and some other stuff that I’m sure I’ve forgotten. But of those 3 essays, I’ve started one. So far I have….my name and the date….

I really should be working on those essays now, and that’s why I’m posting this. Cuz I’m a procrastinator (please kids don’t do this at home).

I meant to do a few Music Vid related post, one on my fav funniest vid’s and another on some random videos that I watched on MTV. One in particular…but I can’t remember the name of the song, the singer, or any words from the song (shows how much attention I was paying to *those* details) and tryin to google a description of the video (something like: “the music video with the green guts and orange blood and the lady on the horse”) isn’t working. (anyone know what vidI’m referring too?) I’m currently tvo-ingthrough MTV now in hopes of stumbling across it, but you know how these things go – since i’m looking for it, it won’t come up.

Oh look! The Killer’s new song. This song is okay, but it definately didn’t get me the way “When you were young” did. (contemplating whether I should do a seperate post for this music vid…..)

Hmm…I shall continue to ponder that as I retrieve some blueberry cheesecake ice cream from the freezer – BRB!

Anywho, I’m back.

Been having alot of ups and downs, all my before mentioned tries at breaking into Hollywood failed Suckage, but I’ve still got it in me to try and try again.

I’m back in college, though I don’t think I’ll be sticking around for much longer…The College of the Bahamas is good at some stuff, however, film education is definitely not one of them. Sooo, I’m trying to get a job at one of the very few places that offer film careers here in The Bahamas.

More bad news – no internet or cable tv at home….for like weeks now. I’m going through Internet Withdrawal Syndrome….more suckage.

A flash of good news: I helped out in filming a commercial! It was awesome sauce! More about that later….

Ummm….what else, oh, yea. This screenwriters competition has come up. I have one script that is completed but it’s only two pages long and even though they have not but a limit on the word count, I still don’t feel as though they are looking to give out $10,000 to a 3 minute script (if that). So I have another script that isn’t close to half way done that I’m going to try my hardest to finish up and submit. Good Luck to me, ya?!

Anywho, that’s my update for now.
